British Columbia’s representative of the technology industry, the BC Technology Industry Association has recently named companies as finalists for the British Columbia Technology Industry Association’s (BCTIA) Technology Impact Award in the Most Promising Start-up and Excellence in Product Innovation categories. The group aims to recognize start-ups and established technology companies across the province. As the voice of the technology industry, the BCTIA is committed to the ongoing growth, sustainability and prosperity of the technology industry and the transformation of British Columbia to a knowledge-based economy.

One of the companies nominated for this award is Strangeloop Networks™ Inc., a leading provider of solutions that automatically accelerate web sites and web-based applications. As one of the finalist for the BCTIA Technology Impact Award in the Most Promising Start-up and Excellence in Product Innovation categories, Strangeloop is very honored because it underscores the tremendous value the AS1000 provides companies seeking to reduce the time and cost to deliver ASP.NET applications and realize the business and competitive advantages of getting new features out to market quickly. The TIAs are broken into three distinct groups: Technology Awards, Company Awards, and Personal Recognition Awards.

Awards are judged by a panel of twelve individuals recognized as experts and leaders in the technology sector. Finalists for the most Promising Start-up are young technology companies whose commercially available products demonstrate significant potential, creativity, and a promising future. For Excellence in Product Innovation, finalists were selected based on superior innovation or discovery in an advanced technology, demonstrating an alternative solution or next-stage development in technology.
